(a) Microwave region of the electromagnetic spectrum is used for radar system used in aircraft navigation. Microwaves are produced by special vacuum tubes e.g., klystrons, magnetrons and Gunn diodes.
(b) Infrared rays are used to treat muscular strain. These waves are produced by hot bodies and molecules.
(c) X-rays are used as a diagnostic tool in medicine. X-rays are produced by bombarding high energy electrons on a metal target.
