What will be the equivalent resistance of the following circuit?

A

`10 Omega`

B

`5 Omega`

C

`2.5 Omega`

D

`1 Omega`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
C

The resistance of the upper arm of the circuit is 2 + 3 = `5 Omega`.
Now, the upper arm and lower arm are connected in parallel to each other. So, the equivalent resistance of the circuit `R= (5 xx 5)/(5 +5) =2.5 Omega`
