From the given graph when velocity is plotted against position intercept `=nu_(0)` and slope = `nu_(0)//x_(0)`
`nu=(-nu_(0)x)/(x_(0))+nu_(0)`
On differentiating with respect to t,
`(dv)/(dt) =-(nu_(0))/(x_(0))(dx)/(dt)+0` or `a =(-nu_(0))/(x_(0))nu`
Putting `nu` from eqn. (i) in eqn . (ii)
`a= -(nu_0)/(x_(0))[(nu_(0))/(x_(0))x+nu_(0)]=(nu_(0)^(2))/(x_(0)^(2))x-(nu_(0)^(2))/(x_(0))`
Which is a straight line with positive slope and negative intercept.
