This system is symmetrical about the x-axis. Hence, we need to find `x_(cm)`. Here we will take coordinate of CM of rods.

For rod 1, mass m_(1) = m
x-coordinate `x_(1)`=0
For rod 2, mass `m_(2)` = m
x-coordinate `x_(2) = L/2`
`therefore x_(CM) = (m_(1)x_(1)+m_(2)x_(2))/(m_(1)+m_(2))`
`x_(CM) = (m xx 0 +m xx L/2)/(m+m) = (mL/2)/(2m) = L/4`
Similarly, `y_(CM)` = 0
`therefore` Center of mass `-= (L/4,0)`
