Two paricles A and B start at the origin O and travel in opposite directions along the circular path at constant speeds `v_(A)=0.7ms^(-1)` and `v_(B)=1.0ms^(-1)`, respectively.
Determine the time when they collide and the magnitude of the acceleration of B just before this happens.

A

`14.35,0.45ms^(-2)`

B

`1.25,0.2ms^(-2)`

C

`11.25,0.5ms^(-2)`

D

`14.55,0.3ms^(-2)`

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

`3t+1.4t=2piR=20pi`
`therefore" "t=(10pi)/(2.2)=14.3srArra=(v_(B)^(2))/(R)=0.45ms^(-2)`
