The correct Answer is:
C

In X-rays tube, when high speed electrons strike the target they penetrate to target. They loss their kinetic energy and come to rest inside the metal. The electron before finally being stopped makes several collision with the atom in the target. At each collision one of the following two types of X-rays get formed (i) continuous X-rays (ii) characteristic X-rays.
