Given two independent events A and B such that `P(A)=0.3,`P(B)=0.6`. find P(neither A nor B)

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given that P (A) = 0.3 and P(B) = 0.6therefore `P(A^c)`= 1-P(A) = 1-0.3=0.7
`P(B^c)` = 1-P(B) = 1-0.6=0.4 =`P(A^cnnB^c)=P(A^c) P(B^c)`
=`0.7xx0.4`=0.28
