It involves following steps: (a) Isolation of gene of interest. (b) Ligation of gene of interest (DNA segment) to a vector plasmid (Formation of recombinant DNA).
(c) Introduction of recombinant DNA into a bacterial ceU (Transformation of host cell).
(d) Multiplication of transformed host bacterial cell to have colony of transformed cells.
