Find the theoretical maximum efficiency ...

Find the theoretical maximum efficiency of a steam engine using an intake steam temperature of `100^(@)C,` if it is operated in a place where the exhaust temperature is `0^(@)C.` If super heated steam at `200^(@)C` is used, what is the maximum possible efficiency?

`T_(1) = 100^(@)C = 373 K, T_(2) = 0^(@)C = 273 K`
Efficiency `= eta = (T_(1) - T_(2))/( T_(1)) = (373 - 273)/(373)`
` = 0. 268 = 26.8%`
`T_(1) = 200^(@)C = 473 K, T_(2) = 0^(@)C = 273 K`
Efficiency `= eta = ( T_(1) - T_(2))/( T_(1)) = (473 - 273)/(373) = (200)/(373) = 0.536= 53.6%`
