Differentiate between Euchromatin and Heterochromatin.

Euchromatin is the chromatin that is extended and accessible for transcription whereas heterochromatin is highly compacted chromatin that is not accessible for transcription. In other words, heterochromatin is considered as genetically inert substance, but euchromatin carries hereditary genes.
