What is the effect of denaturation on the structure of proteins?

Proteins are the long-chain polymer of amino acids. Thus, upon denaturation amino acids are produced. During denaturation, secondary and tertiary structures of proteins are destroyed but primary structures remain as such and again the globular proteins are converted into fibrous proteins and their biological activity is lost.
