What do you understand by the term magnetic field lines ?

Explanation

Magnetic field lines are imaginary continuous lines extended from north to south pole of a magnet and visually represent the magnetic field. These lines describe the direction of the magnetic force on a north pole at any given position. Tangent at any point of the field lines gives the direction of the magnetic field at that point.
