State the numerical value of the frequency of oscillation of a seconds' pendulum. Does it depend on the amplitude of oscillation ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Time period of seconds pendulum = T = 2s
`therefore` The frequency of oscillation = 1/T = 1/2 = 0.5 `s^(-1)`.
Its frequency does not depend on the amplitude of oscillation.
