What are the differences between homopolysaccharides and heteropolysaccharides? Give one example of each.

Carbohydrates which on hydrolysis give four molecules of the same or different monosaccharides are called tetrasaccharides. For example, stachrose on hydrolysis gives one molecule of glucose, one molecule of fructose and two molecules of galactose.
