Macromolecules are large-sized compounds with high molecular weight. Their Mol. wt is more than ten thousand daltons. They are poorly soluble in water and form a part of acid insoluble pool. These are formed by condensation of micromolecules by dehydration synthesis.
Examples: Proteins, polysaccharides, nucleic acids, etc.
