Explain why :
Conc. nitric acid can be stored in aluminium containers.

Aluminium is rendered passive by conc. `HNO_3` due to formation of an oxide layer on its surface. This film does not allow any further reaction between `HNO_3` and `Al` and hence conc. `HNO_3` can be stored in aluminium container.
