What is the correct order of decreasing ...

What is the correct order of decreasing nucleophilicity in non-polar solvents: `OH^(-),NH_(2)^(-),F^(-),CH_(3)^(-)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In non- polar solvents the salts of nucleophilie are present as ion-pairs in which nearby cations diminish the reactivity of the anion. The order in which largest nucleophile appears first will be the right order .
`CH_(3)^(-) gt NH_(2)^(-)gt OH^(-) gt F^(-)`
