How many numbers lying between 100 and 1000 can be formed with the digits 1,2,3,4,5 if the repetition of digits is not allowed?

Every number lying between 1000 and 10000 is a four number. Therefore, we have to find the number of permutations is six digits 2,3,6,7,8,9 taken 4 at a time
Hence , required number of numbers `=""^(6)P_(4)`
`=(6!)/((6-4)!)`
` =(6!)/(2!)=360`
