At what temperature on the Fahrenheit scale will the reading be double of the reading on the Celsius scale?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let the Celsius reading be X then the Fahrenheit reading will be 2x
So, `(x-0)/(100-0)=(2x-32)/(212-32)`
or `(x)/(5)=(2x-32)/(9)`
or 9x=10x-160
or `x=160^(@)C`
So,2x=`320^(@)F`
