Justify that the following reactions are redox reactions :

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`4 BCl_(3)(g)+3 LiAlH_(4)(s)to 2 B_(2)H_(6)(g)+3 LiCl(s)+3 AlCl_(3)(s)`
`4 BCl_(3_((g)))+3LiAlH_(4_((s)))to 2 B_(2)H_(6_((g)))+3 LiCl_((s))+4 lCl_(3_((s)))`
Here in the above reaction the oxidation states of all elements doesnot changed. So it is not a redox reaction .
