Since each dice can result in 6 ways. So, the total number of possible outcomes is `6xx6xx6xx6=6^(4)`.
If 3 does not occur on any die, then each die can result in 5 ways.
`:.` Total number of outcomes in which no die shows 3 `=5xx5xx5xx5=5^(4)`
Total number of possible outcomes in which at least one die shows 3
= Total number of possible outcomes
- Number of outcomes in which no die shows 3 `=6^(4)-5^(4)=671`.
