Statement-I The point A(1, 0, 7) is the ...

Statement-I The point `A(1, 0, 7)` is the mirror image of the point `B(1,6, 3)` in the line `(x)/(1)=(y-1)/(2)=(z-2)/(3)`.
Statement-II The line `(x)/(1)=(y-1)/(2)=(z-2)/(3)` bisect the line segment joining `A(1, 0, 7) and B(1, 6, 3)`.

A

Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is True, Statement-2 is a correct explanation for Statement-1.

B

Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is True, Statement-2 is not a correct explanation for Statement-1.

C

Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is False.

D

Statement-1 is False, Statement-2 is True.

The correct Answer is:
B

Clearly, the mid point of AB satisfies the equation `x/1=(y-1)/2=(z-2)/3` and `vec(AB)=hati+6hatj-4hatk` is perendicular to the line.
So B is the mirror image of A in the given line.
Thus statement -1 is true.
Also, statement -2 is true as mid point of AB lies on the line. But, statement -2 is not a correct explanation for statement.
