Does the point ( 2.5 ," "3. 5) lie insid...

Does the point `( 2.5 ," "3. 5)` lie inside, outside or on the circle `x^2+y^2=25` ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given circle `x^(2)+y^(2)=25`
Its centre point `A-=(-2.5,3.5)`
Now, Ac `=sqrt((0+2.5)^(2)+(0-3.5)^(2))`
`=sqrt(6.25+11.25)=sqrt(17.5)=4.189ltr`
`:.` Point (-2.5,3.5) lies inside the circle.
