Find the slope of the tangent to the cur...

Find the slope of the tangent to the curve `y = x^3- x at x = 2`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`y= 3x^(4) - 4x`
` rArr (dy)/(dx) = 12 x^(3) - 4`
at x = 4
Slope of tangent
` m = 12 (4)^(3) - 4`
` = 786 - 4 = 764`
