Blood is made up of plasma and corpuscles. Three kinds of corpuscles are:
RBCs are the biconcave cells that contain the iron-rich protein called hemogiobin whose main function is to transport oxygen from and to various tissues and organs.
White blood cells are responsible for fighting against disease causing germs (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi) that enter our body.
Platelets are tiny disc-shaped cells that help in clotting of blood to prevent loss of blood during injury.
