Describe an experiment to show the effect of concentration on the rate of the reaction between potassium persuphate and potassium iodide.

Take a destarched potted plant.
Cover a part of leaf with black strip and keep it in sunlight for 6 hrs.
Decolourise the leaf by first boiling in water and then using alcohol in waterbath.
Put few drops of iodine solution on both the leafsections (covered and uncovered). Leave it for few minutes.
Part of leaf covered with black strip does not change its color while rest part exposed to sunlight gets changed to blue-black color.
Thus, covered part does not synthesis starch while uncovered part synthesize starch.
