HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) belongs to retrovirus family which causes AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome). This virus is pathogenic to human beings as it gradually damages their immune system resulting in loss of natural defence . This virus destructs `CD_(4)^(+)` bearing T helper and other cells , over a period of years.
