Innate immunity It is the type of immunity which is present from the birth and is inherited from the parents . It is non-specific in nature as it innvolves general protective measures against any invasion in general . It consists of various types of barriers that prevent the entry of foreign particles in body . Some of them are mechnical (skin , mucous) , chemical (acid in stomach lysozyme , interferons , etc) , phagocytic (macrophages ) , inflammatory (histamine) , acute phase proteins , etc.
