AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome ) results from infection by Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) . This virus enters the macrophage , after entering the body of person . Its RNA gets replicated to form viral DNA by enzyme reverse transcriptase . This is proviral DNA , that can exist in linear or circular forms . This double helical strand of DNA is integrated into the host cell genome as provirus.
