Grafting It is the most common method of artificial vegetative propagation. In this method, parts of two plants, usually roots and shoots are joined in such a way that they grow as one plant.
The root portion of one plant is called as stock. it is joined with a twig (stem) of another plant called scion.
The grafted portion of the plant is covered by wax to avoid any infection. Plants ctiltivated by this method are mango, rose, apple, orange, guava, etc.
