(3) Let `E_(1)` be the white ball drawn in first draw, `E_(2)` be the event the black ball is drawn in second draw, E be the event that white ball is drawn in second draw. Then
`P(E)=P(E//E_(1))P(E_(1))+P(E//E_(2))P(E_(2))`
`=(d+w)/(w+b+d)((w)/(a+b))+(w)/(w+b+d)((b)/(w+b))`
`=((w)/(w+b))((d+w)/(w+b+d)+(b)/(w+b+d))=((w)/(w+b))`
which is independent of d.
(4) To prove that A,B, C are pairwase independent only. Now,

`=P(AnnBnnC)+P(A\nnBnnC)`
`=P(A)P(B)P(barC)+P(A)P(B)P(C)("given")`
`=P(A)xxP(B)[P(C')+P(barC)]`
