Find the derivative of `y = tan^-1 2x^3`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
`a rarr q, s`

We have `2 sin^(2) theta + sin^(2) 2 theta=2`
`rArr 2 sin^(2) theta+4 sin^(2) theta cos^(2) theta=2`
`rArr sin^(2) theta+2 sin^(2) theta (1- sin^(2) theta)=1`
`rArr 3 sin^(2) theta-2 sin^(4) theta-1=0`
`rArr sin theta = pm 1/sqrt(2), pm 1`
`rArr theta=pi/4, pi/2`
Note : Solutions of the remaining parts are given in their respective chapters.
