GnRH or Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone is a hypothalamic hormone. Spermatogenesis starts at puberty due to its significant increase. Its increased level acts on anterior pituitary gland and stimulates the secretion of LH and FSH.
LH acts on the Leydig cells and stimulates synthesis and secretion of androgens, which in turn stimulate the process of spermatogenesis. FSH on the other hand acts on Sertoli cells and stimulates the secretion of some factors that help in spermiogenesis.
