For a first order reaction, it takes 16 min to complete 50% reaction. How much time does it take to complete 75% reaction?

Given that, `t_(1//2) = 16" min"`
`therefore` Rae constant, `k = (0.693)/(t_(1//2)) = (0.693)/(16" min")`
For 75% reaction, the relation is `t= (2.303)/( k) log"" (a)/(a-x)`
As `a = 100, (a-x) = 100 - 75 = 25`
`therefore t= (2.303)/( (0.693)/(16" min" )) log"" (100)/(25) = (2.303 xx 16" min" )/( 0.693) log"" 4`
`= (2.303 xx 16 xx 0.6020)/(0.693) = 32` min
