Assertion : There is exchange in internal energy in a cyclic process.
Reason : Cyclic process is the one in which the system returns to its initial state after a number of reactions.

A

If both (A) and (R) are correct and (R) is the correct explanation of(A).

B

If both (A) and (R) are correct, but (R) is not the correct explanation of(A).

C

If(A) is incorrect, but (R) is correct.

D

If both (A) and (R) are incorrect.

The correct Answer is:
A

As internal energy is a state function so its value depends on initial and final states of the system. In case of cyclic system initial and final states are same. So `Delta U=0, `and similarly `Delta H = 0.`
