Which of the following have maximum mola...

Which of the following have maximum molar conductivity.
(i) 0.1 M solution and its specific conductivity is `2 xx 10^(-2) Omega^(-1)cm^(-1)`
( ii) 0.1M solution and its resistivity is 50 `Omega` cm.

Text Solution

(i) Molar conductance `wedge_(m)=(kxx1000)/(M)=2.0 xx10^(-2) xx1000/0.1 =200 Omega^(-1) cm^(2) mol^(-1)`
(ii) conducitivity `k=(1)/(p)=1/20`
Therefore the molar conducitivity of solution (ii) will be greater the solution (i)
