Two tuning fork having frequency 300 Hz ...

Two tuning fork having frequency 300 Hz & 305 Hz produce beat phenomena. Then (i) How many beats produce is 5 sec. (ii) Determine minimum time interval in which maximum intensity become min.

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
(i) 25 beats
(ii) `(1)/(10)s`

`Deltaf=305-300=5Hz`
(i) `:.` Total beats produced in `5s=5 xx 5 = 25`
(ii) Time interval in which max intensity becomes minimum
`= (1)/(2)xx(1)/(Deltaf)=(1)/(2)xx(1)/(5)=0.1sec`

A tuning fork of frequency 512 Hz makes 4 beats per second with the vibrating string of a piano. The beat frequency decreases to 2 beats per sec. when the tension in the piano string is slightly increased. The frequency of the piano string before increasing the tension was

A tuning fork having n = 300 Hz produces 5 beats/s with another tuning fork. If impurity (wax) is added on the arm of known tuning fork, the number of beats decreases then calculate the frequency of unknown tuning fork.

A tuning fork of known frequency 256 Hz makes 5 beats per second with the vibrating string of a piano. The beat frequency decreases to 2 beats per second when the tension in the piano string is slightly increased. The frequency of the piano string before increasing the tension was

Monochromatic light frequency 5.0xx10^(14) Hz is produced by a laser. The power emitted is 66 W. How many photons per second,on an average ,are emitted by the source?

When tuning forks A and B are sounded together, 20 beats are produced in 8 second between them. (i.e. beat frequency is (20)/(8) =2.5 Hz). Now, when some wax is applied on one of these tuning forks, 32 beats are produced in 8 s. If frequency of that fork on which wax is not applied is 512 Hz then find frequency of another tuning fork, before and after applying wax.

If two tuning fork A and B are sounded together they produce 4 beats per second. A is then slightly loaded with wax, they produce 2 beats when sounded again. The frequency of A is 256. The frequency of B will be

Two sitar wires A and B producing the note "Dha" are slightly out of tune and produce 5 beats per second. When the tension in the wire B is slighly increased, the beat frequency decreases to 3 Hz. If frequency of A is 512 Hz, what should be original and final frequency of B ?
