Particle is dropped from the height of 2...

Particle is dropped from the height of 20 m from horizontal ground. A constant force acts on the particle in horizontal direction due to which horizontal acceleration of the particle becomes `6 m//s^(2)`. Find the horizontal displacement of the particle till it reaches ground.

A

6m

B

10m

C

12m

D

24m

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
C

Time to reach the ground `=sqrt((2xx20)/10)=2` sec

So horizontal displacement `=0+1/2xx6xx4=12 m`
