One mole of gas is taken from state A to...

One mole of gas is taken from state `A` to state `B` as shown in figure. Work done by the gas is `alpha xx 10^(beta)J`. Find the value of `alpha + beta`.
(Given: ` T_(1) = 320 K , R = (25)/(3)`)

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
7

Work done = `(1)/(2) [P_(0) + 2P_(0)][2V_(0)-V_(0)] = (3)/(2)P_(0)V_(0)`
and `P_(0)V_(0) = R xx 320`
So work done `(3)/(2)xx R xx 320 = (3)/(2) xx (25)/(3) xx320 = 4000J = 4 xx 10^(3)J implies alpha + beta = 4+3 = 7`
