A man of height `170cm`wants to see his complete image in a plane mirror(while standing). His eyes are at a height of `160cm`from the ground.

A

Minimum length of the mirror = 80 cm

B

Minimum length of the mirror = 85 cm

C

Bottom of the mirror should be at a height 80 cm

D

Bottom of the mirror should be at a height of 85 cm

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
B,C

Required length of mirror = `M_(1)M_(2)` So the mirror should be the length of half of the size of man= `(170)/(2)` = 85 cm & it is placed such that its lower edge at a half the height of eye level height.
