The half-life of a chemical reaction at ...

The half-life of a chemical reaction at a particular concentration is 50 minutes. When the concentration is doubled, the half-life become 100 minutes. Find out the order of the reaction.

Text Solution

On doubling the concentration, the value of `t_(1//2)` becomes 2 times the original value or `t_(1//2)` is directly proportional to the initial concentration. Hence, reaction is a zero order reaction.
