Personal hygiene involves the practices you per form in maintaining cleanliness of your body. This helps in keeping our body healthy without infections caused by micro-organisms preventing illness. The components of personal hygiene are:
(i) Hand washing To prevent infection from microorganisms.
(ii) Taking bath regularly, changing undergar ments regularly, avoid wearing tight clothes.
(iii) Avoid walking barefoot to prevent from inju ries and bacterial infections.
(iv) Oral hygiene-Avoid plague building com ponents, eat fibre rich diet. Brushing teeth before and after eating,
(v) Eye care-Avoid rubbing eyes, maintain dis tance while reading, protect eyes from bright sunlight, take vitamin A rich diet.
(vi) Hair care-Do not share towels and combs. Scalp should be massaged regularly to enhance blood circulation. Balanced diet is necessary. Wash hair twice or thrice a week to protect it from parasites and dandruff.
