Poverty is one of the main factors for malnutrition. Many children do not get proper balanced diet due to insufficient earnings of the parents. Such children are fed with unbalanced diet. Children fed only with rice have protein deficiency in them. Nutritional requirements cannot be fulfilled due to non-availability of food. This condition leads to malnutrition.
