When we look at a dark room for some time, we start making out the shapes of different objects present in the room. Give the reason for the following questions.
(a) How does this happen?
(b) What do you think would happen to the pupils of a person looking at objects in a dark room? Why would this happen to the pupils?
(c) When we start seeing different objects in a dark room, we are often not able to recognize the colours of these objects. Why does this happen?

(a) In the dark room, pupil dilates after some time and allows enough light entering the eye through it. This causes vision of shapes of different objects present in the dark room. (c) It is so because we do not get proper reflection from the object in the dark room.
