Two integers are chosen at random and multiplied. Find the probability that the product is an even integer.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
`(2)/(3)`

If both integers are even, product is even. If both integers are odd, then product is odd. If one integer is odd and other is even, then product is even. Therefore, the required probability is `2//3`.
