Draw the graph of f(x)=sec^(-1)(sec x)...

Draw the graph of `f(x)=sec^(-1)(sec x)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`y=sec^(-1)(sec x)`
`rArr" "sec y = sec x`
`rArr" "cos y = cos x `
Hence the graph of `y = sec^(-1)(sec x)` is the same as that of `y= cos^(-1) (cos x)`, but excluding points `x=(2n+1)pi//2, n in Z`, where sec x is not defined.
