Binary Fission. It is the mode of asexual reproduction in which a parent organism divides into two equal halves by mitosis each of which function as an independent daughter organism. It involves karyokinesis (division of nucleus) followed by cytokinesis. e.g., Amoeba, Paramoecium etc.
