Budding. In this type of asexual reproduction, a bud appears as a small protuberance on the unicellular (yeast) or multicellular (hydra) parent body. In hydra, the bud grows exogenously on the outer surface of parent body and gets its ,food from it. When it becomes fully matured, it is separated from the parent body and leads to an independent individual existence. Sometimes, the buds do not get separated from the mother body (yeast) and form a colony. These, eventually, get separated and mature into new yeast organisms. Budding in yeast resembles with Genus Torula, so this condition is called Torula stage and process is called Torulation.
