Hardy Weinberg equation
`p+q=1, (p+q)^(2)=1, p^(2)+2pq+q^(2)=1`
Frequency of recessive gene `q^(2)=36%=0.36`
`=sqrt(0.36)=.6`
As `p + q= 1`, the value of p would be `1.0 -0.6= 0.4`,
Frequency of homozygous dominant individuals would be `=p xx p = 0.4 xx 0.4 = 0.16 or 16%`
Frequency of heterozygous individuals would be = 2pq
`=2xx0.4 xx0.6=0.48=48%`
