Hybridomas are cells that have been engineered to produce a desired antibody in large amounts, to produce monoclonal antibodies.
It is a cell produced in laboratory from the fusion of an antibody producing lymphocyte and a cancerous cell usually a myeloma or lymphoma. It proliferates and continuously produces monoclonal antibodies.
